I've become friends with a dealer of Chinese porcelain in the Netherlands and he sells a lot of pieces online. When i see a piece i really like, he has given me some really wonderful deals. There are usually some little problems w/ the piece, but i don't mind at all. Here's a really pretty one from the Kangxi reign 1654-1722.
hahaha this is from Bob and Freek, highly skilled and honest people experts in kosometsuke and Amsterdams Bont, they are quite expensive
here is something wrong this is a sort of fengai (poli bai), this aint xangxi, this is japanese around 1840 , this is not real value , but still nice
i'll talk to Freek about it.
you were exactly right on the money w/ this apostata! i had it mixed up with a different one.
apostata - what does fengai (poli bai) mean? i'm not familiar w/ those terms.
fencai is soft colours and poli bai is the dominating white colour in the backkground,
the point is it aint bad stuff , but it is bad value because the markt good flooded , but i forgot the gilt names
bob and freek are solid and honest , they don,t make rookie mistakes like this they are real good assessors only they got problems with the guanghu , but expensive,
you can say that again apostata! Freek has turned out to be a real friend. We correspond a lot these days and i hope his family can come visit me in california in post covid 19 days!
