I see a lot of butterfly collections but a collection of dragonflies not so much. In fact this is the first one. These are from Southeast Asia but not as large as other insects from there. Probably because they eat mosquitos which are the same size everywhere.
The top one is Vestalis gracilis which is a Damselfly' The bottom one is Orthetrum testaceum is a Dragonfly and the others something in-between those. They are arranged according to size. The dragonfly would be a bit brighter orange in life it has faded a bit. Just did a bit more research and the top three are damselflies and the last one is a dragonfly.
In the last photo it can be seen in its place in my rather large insect collection. It is rather large.
Beautiful dragonflies what a great find! Your insect wall is spectacular by the way, love the butterflies, so much preserved beauty
Pretty cool collection man! This reminds me of a story...early 90's
My boss and I were headed on a road trip.. I think we're going to Woodburn Oregon for a drag race... as we crossed into Oregon from Washington, the boss said there's a great rib eye steak place just over the bridge by the water...
I mean this place was right next to a slaughterhouse. They had 2 fer specials... two dinners, ribeye steak, salad, aside and dessert. Fresh meat from the slaughter house...
The guy that owned the place used to be an audiophile. He sold that business to start this restaurant. It was very cool inside there was several paintings and model airplanes hanging from the ceiling....
But when you took a closer look ....all the paintings we're actually made from butterfly wings.
The first Dragon Fly collection I've ever seen and it's awesome!! I also love the huge collection shown in pic #4!
Way cool love your wall
How many do you have? Looks like a lot..

great collection of butterflies and other insects. I see, what I call a stickbug in your display, They used to be all around my home, now I don't see near as many, must be environmental impact.
