A watercolour I’ve acquired at auction, double checked, it is a genuine watercolour, painted on a raised surface paper, signed, I think the shaky nature of the signature is down to to the type of paper, it’s very well painted by a good hand, quite large, 28 x 20 inches or 710 x 508mm complete with a gallery label from the well respected Hanover Gallery, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK

What knowledgeable person among you my collected friends might be able to offer comments, all are welcome

I think it is Japanese and maybe mixed media on textured paper, perhaps a woodblock or screen print with some accents using watercolor or goauche. Hard to tell from your images..

kwqd I am very grateful for your comment, I can confirm that this is 100% Watercolour, I’ve been buying art for some time, I’ve checked it with a jewellers loop several times, it and s genuine, I did wonder if it might be Japanese as I’ve never seen this type of signature on any Chinese works, thank you very very much for taking an interest
