Hello to my fellow jewelry collectors!
I frequent thrift shops in search of treasures but rarely buy their expensive jars. These earrings were in a $45 jar and one glance at them made me realize I can not walk away. A true treasure amongst plastic beads and faux pearls. They are probably from 1860-1880, but any other helpful info would be greatly appreciated.
They test as at least 14k, but may actually be 15k. It pained me to scratch test them, but I did. And even dropped some testing acid on the scratch spot itself, and on the couple of darker spots, no dreaded green bubbles. Regardless, I am in love and they will be a family heirloom to be passed down to my children.
Thank you and hope you all stay safe!
I am sorry Newfld, I don't know how but I think I ended up deleting your comment. Thank you very much for your kind comment.
