Lady Elgin Wristwatch #484 movement 309 453 91. It has 2 diamonds, 4 sapphires, and 4 pieces of inlaid black onyx. I am told that it was custom designed in the 1920's and is one of a kind. I had researched several leads and cannot pin point this watch, or any information on it. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!

Does anyone have any ideas on where I can look next?

Hi, my mom has this exact watch that was given to her by her great aunt. I am sitting here comparing this one to your picture and they are identical all but the winding stem and the band. I have searched the internet and can not find any information either. I know that the one I have was made sometime in the 1920's, but I don't want to take the back off and I can't find a local dealer willing to do so. We were trying to find the value, but too have been unsuccessful. If you have any luck please post and I will check in for any further information. If we run across anything I will post and let you know.

Those are the numbers on the case itself correct? Has the case been opened? The serial number is inside the case on the movement itself. The numbers on the case are worthless.

The numbers above were found inside the case. I will check for other markings. Thanks so much for your help.

I don't know if you will get a notification of this (but hope so).... This is a magnificent watch! Simply beautiful!

Also one just like it with a leather looking band on Ebay currently (current bid $340). Lots of great information regarding that one too.

I would never be able to part with such a beautiful watch!
