I came across a box of my grandmother's (born 1905) labeled "Thousand Eye" with these pictured items inside. I have seen Thousand Eye crystal and am unsure if this is actual Thousand Eye or just a hobnail design. Any opinions as to what this is?
these look more like 'Dewdrop With Star' by Campbell, Jones and Co. At least the shape of the 'drops' looks the same and it does look like they form a star in the footed bowl. In the 'Thousand Eye' patterns that I am familiar with the 'drops' are flatter round disk and usually larger.
The small bowl is Campbell, Jones, and Co's "Dewdrop with Star" (OMN:Pearl), the cup and saucer is Duncan and Miller's Teardrop pattern.
I should have noted tha I was lookin' at the bowl. To further clarify, the Dewdrop pattern is EAPG introduced in 1877, and Teardrop was introduced as early as 1936 so is Elegant Glass of the depression era.
Nice, Tallcakes and Paul thanks for showing me this...
