This photo taken by my wife in rural W. Virginia of a tree overgrown with kudzu for some reason reminds me of a W.B. Yeats poem, The Second Coming. The lines are:
"And what rough beast, its hour come at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born."
The blood dimmed tide is loosed and everywhere
Darkness chokes life
as the kudzu vine
Lost and blind
Snared in twined
It IS a cool photo, thanks for sharing to you and your wife! ;-)
I'm glad we really don't have kudzu here...the plain old ivy vines are bothersome enough... :-)
