Anyone know about the uniform in this picture? Looking for some leads. Found in my grandmothers photos when she passed away. Cheers.

      West Point cadet uniform?
    2. scottvez scottvez, 4 years ago
Could be USMA, but many schools used this same style.

Any photographer information on the folder? Anything on the back of the image?

For sure a cadet but not sure it is West Point

Looks to be 1930s-- family research on male relatives in their teens at this time period may lead to the where/ who is in the photograph.

Obituaries would certainly note military college attendance and many would note a private military preparatory school as well.

Just depends on how much you are willing to research.

Thanks Scott, I have also heard that the uniform might be from the Pennsylvania Military Academy. I will check with them today, see if they have any list of attendees.

Good luck-- several military schools and colleges used/ use this type of full dress jacket.

      It is West Point

Thanks, any idea of when? Also, the white belt is that typical of West Point?
    12. scottvez scottvez, 4 years ago
It is 1930s-- nothing distinguishes this to USMA or any other military college or preparatory school of that era.

The belt is worn when "under arms" and at other prescribed times.

      It is not distinctive either.
