This is an oil painting of a relative of mine ... dated around 1880 give or take. They lived in Mississippi but this necklace may be French. My mom has been trying to search for this necklace case it has long left our family. Anyone have any ideas what it is? She thought maybe a small perfume vial but I thought maybe a seal fob. We are new here so any help from anyone would be much appreciated ! Thank you.
