I was thrilled to receive this recently. I have admired this design and rarely see it for sale. The brooch measures 2 and 1/4 inches long by 1 and 3/4 inches wide. Given the way the enamel is handled, the brooch looks to from the L'Orient series of the 1960s.
    Enjoy!

Lori, Thanks, not a gift, a gift to myself.
Karen, Thanks for the adoration of this design.
Jenni, A pansy! So pretty. I thought a wild rose. We all see a different flower.

      Hi Mary,
I don't know much about this design. It is from the 1960s so there is no patent reference. In looking through the patents, I see an early patent that seems to have a similar flower and leaf pattern, but a different center, more leaves, no stems and no pearls. That is patent number 103,596, dated March 13, 1937. I have never seen this piece in the various ads I've seen online either. So maybe someone here will have more information to share about it. I just loved the design Thanks for the love and comment. Best, Maureen

Nutsabotas6 - I have only seen one L'Orient ad which has the white enamel and coral cabochons. Have you seen other ads that have this brooch in it? I'd appreciate it if you could point me to them. Thanks. Best, Maureen
