My mother always used this as her "sugar" spoon, and I believe she inherited it from her mother. It is approx 5 1/4 inches long, 1 1/2 at its widest point. The name Geo W Spier is engraved on the back, also has
PAT 1905, and Sterling on handle backside. Any information you may have on the spoon, or who Geo W Spier might be would be greatly appreciated.

The Spier name is the retailer. This is made by Whiting, and is the "Louis XV" pattern.....now often paired with "Strasbourg" by Gorham, who bought Whiting.

I have a silver cream and sugar bowl. On the bottom it is stamped RSCo 1144 on both. Trying to figure out if it could be sterling or plated silver. Any informaton on this?
