NOT INTENDED AS A POLITICAL POST AT ALL...simply a reflection that I myself am PROUD of my beloved Country today. DESPITE ANY OF OUR PERSONAL POINTS-OF-VIEW, our crazy dysfunctional system of government continues to operate as our Forefathers intended, "IN ORDER TO FORM A MORE PERFECT UNION". (or something like that)

We had a little flag-raising (of sorts) moment here this morning. The large flag now displayed between the picture windows is the oldest of the three shown here:

    https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/289911-united-states-of-america-flags

which once adorned the casket of my partner's Grandfather Richard Dillard, who served in the US Navy based in Tuskegee, AL during WWII. He is seen here in pic3 with his wife LaVera. Pic 2 is my partner Devin (who himself served in the US Army) paying tribute, once he helped me install it on the front of our home. Pic 4 shows it as it appears overnight tonight.

Tonight both will be properly illuminated, then the large one will come back down to proper storage tomorrow.

EDIT: I just changed out the last pic with a new one just now, after the sun went down...this pic has too much extra junk in it too, but shows how my neighbors and passers-by will see our little home this evening.

EDIT #2: I just changed out the last pic again...the flag is still out there but I was getting annoyed with how it looked under that ugly LED floodlight...different fixture, different bulb now...MUCH mo betterer... ;-) :-) :-)

MY SINCERE THANKS to bobby725, Gillian, Watchsearcher, Scottvez, & RichmondLori for taking the moment to leave your comments -- also to EVERYBODY ELSE (too many to list) that have punched your <love it> buttons for our old US Flag. It is still outside at the moment but I just changed out the last pic again to improve its look for another day or so until some rain might move in...
