Would have been held in an EPNS frame originally - the circle of crystal pinch work or crimping around the diameter suggests this. There also would have been a metal lid placed inside the top lip but it has been lost over time. Pale cranberry opalescence is an essential feature of its design. The pontil is finely polished. The glass is thicker towards the bottom and it has a nice weight to it. Dimensions: 9 cms tall and approx. 10 cms [4 inches] wide. One of my first purchases of old glass.
