Made in England just before the first world war by one of the main glass manufacturers in Stourbridge. They came in a variety of colours and sizes but all shared the alabaster foot and finial at the top of the lid. Note that all but one of them have the knob sheared across its top. The other bowl [light blue] I purchased in America and I believe that Frederick Carder made similar examples when he left S & W to work there and he was very influential with the knowledge and expertise that he brought over with him. Are they powder bowls? Each of the feet has a polished pontil. The smaller bowls are 11 cms high and the larger are 14 cms. The glass is thick and heavy.
