I found this in my grandpas basement, and have been trying to find out how much it is worth. Here is an email from the artist himself about the bob marley burlap. Any info would be much appreciated.

Hi Jodi, A company from Athens, Ohio named Sinbad, one of the first reggae record shops in the country sold these back in 1977, I think was around the time of the first printing. I worked for a company called Image Graphics from 1976 - 1987 as artist. I used a photograph taken by Phil Alloy (owner of Sinbad) and drew on top of it, and also did the type at the bottom. They were then screen printed on a large press and sold via Sinbad catalog or at his shop. We did (I think) 3 or 4 different wall hangings on burlap, some with the entire wailers band.
Sinbad was the first company in the US to do tour t-shirts for Bob because it was too expensive for them to bring shirts up from Jamaica. I did a number of designs, backdrops, tour jackets, passes, etc. for Bob, Rita Marley and then the kids with the Melody Makers. We lost the contract in the early nineties after Bob had passed and the Melody Makers were signed to Island Records.
I'm not sure how many are in existence, how many we printed, too far back for the 'ol brain cells. They are not being made anymore. Not sure of the value, but I imagine it to be worth $100-$500 bucks if you found the right person on ebay, maybe more, not sure with all the Marley stuff that is out there these days.

There was a documentary made about Bob in the 80's (can't quite remember the name of it), but you can see the burlap hanging in Bob's window at 56 Hope Rd.), maybe the only time it shows up in direct connection with Bob.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have more detailed or specific questions and I'll try and help, you can see a few of my designs at

Can't get much more informative than hearing from the artist himself. Good stuff.
