I'm thrilled to have been able to arrange a very happy "marriage" of a pink DQMP satin glass fairy lamp dome to a Clarke lamp cup.
The dome was purchased several years ago & has been awaiting an appropriately - sized cup ever since. It does seem to be the case that most of my fairy lamps are bought that way!
The domes are rarely seen, the cups, even less so...especially in the larger size (8 cm inner diameter).
I still have a few more orphan domes in need of cups, but it's always good to be able to check another one off the waiting list.
One of the domes I have measures an unusually large 8.7 cm across the base, so that needs a rare cup indeed to hold it...oh well, guess it's back to the search...
Both parts made in England. Clear pressed cup is marked underneath S Clarke Trade Mark Fairy, with fairy logo.
Lovely - Lovely - Lovely. so delicate and beautiful. Very nice.
Some times I get so excited and want to comment on a piece, that after I have hit the submit buttonm I have to come back to the post to LOVE IT. Anyone else do that??? Lori
Many thanks, Lori! And thanks again for coming back to love it, too!
