      This one has been dated to 1910 and stamp says Made in USA. Similar is an unmarked sugar bowl purported to be from France.

      I looked on the Homer Laughlin website regarding the trademark and it dod look about that time. I have similar ones that were made in China (based on their trademarks). Wish I knew more about why the faces were there.

      Sorry - Etsy listing says 1914. I think the "faces" are meant to be handles? Your'e welcome.
