Victorian Air Trapped Blue Satin Vase

Large satin air-trapped baluster-vase which is aqua blue in color. There are three casings - clear over blue over white. The pattern is swirling raindrops which are narrow at the top then get bigger from the shoulder down and smaller at the bottom. The pontil is roughly polished. The vase top is crimped tightly - should have given it a bit of a wash first before I took the photo. It is a tad over 22 cms [nearly 9 inches] tall and 7 cms across the bottom. This is clever glass-making. Where was it made? It's not an extravagant design but simple and elegant. The aqua blue and white contrast very well.
