I like the baluster shape of this item but not some of the blue enamel decoration. Three casings - crystal over cranberry [with mica flecks] over white. Both handles are applied confidently and are well shaped. The pontil is concave and snapped cleanly - no roughness to disturb the balance of the urn. Top rim is smooth and beveled but not by grinding - fire polished? The cranberry is quite rich at the top and fades towards the bottom to a nice pink while the all over use of small mica flakes gives the design additional interest. Height is 16.5 cms and widest part of body is 10 cms [4 inches]. Maker could be Bohemian because of decor, though others might have a different opinion. Please feel free to comment.
Sweet. It has a lot going on for such a small piece.
Thanks, kwqd for the generous comment. Both the cranberry colour and shape together, make this vase a nice one indeed.
