Manufactured by Nth England glass maker, George Davidson, this charmingly petite creamer and sugar bowl were known as the 'Lady Caroline' pattern or blue pearline. They don't have registration marks but are dated 1900. They were pressed in a three part mould and the opalescence is focused in the top third of each item. With this Davidson pattern you will see a series of concentric circles on the base. Each of the small feet has a faint leaf pattern embossed on it. Why the small size - meant to serve one person only? The body has a well defined series of vertical ribs around the exterior circumference and are a distinguishing characteristic of this popular design. Bowl is 6.5 cms tall and 9 cms wide across its mouth and creamer is 6 cms high.
