Dears,
My jeweler showed me a plate and told me that it is a silverplate. Does anyvone have an idea about how to verify that it is really silver. The marks on the plate are attached
thanks in advance
best regards
Your piece says it is "Silverplate". That is a very, very thin coat of silver over another metal - usually brass or nickel. The photo isn't complete so can't tell what the object is. Silverplate is not "really" silver.

Thank you very much for your feedback. This is much helpful. The item is a plate, 40cm by 23cm. So it doesn't seem like it id worth 600$?
I cannot think of any silverplate dish that would bring that kind of money.
Silverplate is very inexpensive.
