This 21 x 16.5Cm platter was produced by Iroquois China/Syracuse China. It’s date code indicates a production date of either February or second quarter of 1945.
It is done in the Bronx pattern.

Thanks, Jenni....it is a nice piece, despite some of the glaze being scuffed from its surface. Such restaurant ware appeals to me. I had a nice collection at one time, but had to dispose of most of it due to a change of my residence.
This piece has both aesthetic and sentimental value, as it was rescued from a sale at at a bar/restaurant where I had enjoyed many a happy hour.
Most of the dinnerware that I use comes from auctions or sales, and I especially appreciate the products of the gone now USA pottery makers...Buffalo China, Syracuse China, Shenango etc. Durable, well made, aesthetic and often nostalgic items.....

How did I miss this showing? I enjoy my own assortment of 'restaurant ware' as you do Ted -- nothing like plates and bowls that can easily withstand an accidental drop into the sink or onto the floor -- and I also agree it often looks great, too!! :-) :-) :-)
Hi, AO.....I concur with you wholeheartedly! Collecting these items is a great hobby, and practical, too, as such pieces add a lot to food is served on them :)
