I bought this about fifteen years ago. I haven't been able to find another like it, and have no idea about Pickard china but I thought it was pretty. Would love to know more about it... Thanks for looking!

Pickard China Company - Chicago, IL (Pickard, Inc) has made porcelain from 1893 to present. This mark was used from 1895 to 1898. Beautiful piece...Hope this helps.

I love Pickard. I had a set of dessert plates for a while but sold them during one of my purging periods. :)

Hey Wolcott...Hows it goin. What I have noticed with Pickard is that they usually have added the gold aspect to pieces. And when I say pieces, what I have seen, is Limoges Pickard, Rosenthal Pickard, Bavaria Pickardand even I believe Nippon Pickard. So what they would do is take another ones plate and add their "gold edges " to it. Or they would golden the handles. Or in some cases, they golden the whole object. Your piece to me has an oriental flavor to it. I am just a novice here, and I could be 100 % wrong. Nevertheless a stunning piece. Thank you for sharing

Hi Truth, Thanks for the info and the compliment on the vase!
I agree there is an Asian flavor to the design. I can't really put my finger on, I was thinking maybe Art Nouveau as well. Thanks for looking.

A reference book you might find useful is the Collector's Encyclopedia of Pickard China, by Alan B. Reed. Patterns and artists are detailed. Your fabulous vase I think , ( no expert here) is a version of plate 293 in that book. The mark looks like it is from the 1903-1905 time period. The example in the book is also unsigned. On facebook there is a Pickard China Collectors Club. They are extremely knowledge, helpful and friendly.
