It is a desirable round top trunk made by Romadka brothers trunk company.
below are some links to patent images thanks for the post.

Steamer trunk refers to a specific size and shape of trunk, a trunk that is in the 30 to 36 inch long range and usually no more than 14 inches high so that it would slide under the berth/bunk of a steamer ship, hence the name steamer trunk, this is the only trunk that is a steamer trunk, all others are travel trunks, The Romadka Brothers Trunk above is a barrel top or stave top trunk, the terms hump back, hump trunk, camel back, round top are all incorrect slang terms. Most all people refer to every trunk ever made as a steamer trunk which is incorrect, many a barrel top trunk traveled by ship, the myth that barrel top would be put on ships last and removed first is a falsity, they would simply turn barrel top on end and stack them.

Trunks come in many shapes sizes and construction. I agree with Greendog that it is a barrel top or stave top trunk . I referenced the trunk above as a "Roundtop trunk" using one of it's original names. Dometop ,curved top were others.
As per Jim,HMS trunk defining the difference between a camelback and humpback trunk (Of which I agree are falsely named)
Below is the link,(Scroll mid way down)
      https://hmsantiquetrunks.com/trunk-faqs--trunk-myths.html

I am always personally hesitant to call a covered trunk that I cannot see the wood underneath a "barrel top" ,due to it's construction. Here's why. If the top is made of multiple boards laid end to end like a barrel was made then yes, I'm fine with it. Typically those were 1/2" or 5/8" thick, with ripped angles cut/steamed/bent to form that barrel.
However ,If it is made of multiple thin layered, veneer pieces of (plywood). Those forming one piece of lumber 3/8"thickness , it seems to me more of a (Cheap) dome or rounded top construction that was created. Rather than technically how an actual barrel is made. When I look at the trunk top patent images below I just don't see barrel construction.I see them "cheating" trying to make the top cheaper lighter,
faster. Those Veneer tops never finish out as well as 'True Barrel top"lumber. Just
      my own opinion.
