I love it!!!!
wvgur163 : If you give me the serial number I might be able to help you find out .
nice machine but it's really cute how the dogs got into the photo LOL I love it
The Pat-Number Is 1777988 maybe some one will know the age of it?
Connie : I looked it up on the Isamcs web site . ( It is a sewing machine site ) . According to the information posted there your machine was made in 1895 .
Thank you Nancy, It looks really old, I love the little wooden table that its made in.
Connie : Yes they do not make them like this any more . Take care of it and it should last you a very long time . And you are welcome .
Nancy I found another number under the sewing machine,It looks like 7zb254249 a silver tag like thing under the needle part! and yes it works like a new one.
Connie : I am not sure what the other number is unless it is a part number . The first number you gave to me is the serial number as there are no serial numbes for the New Home machines that have letters in them .
Connie I don't think the number you found is the serial number, and the machine isn't as old as 1895, the style of the machine and cabinet is around 1940. The New Home company merged with free who were associated with Westinghouse, in 1927, and this company was taken over by national in 1954. The serial number might begin with NL and might be under the bobbin cover plate, or below the edge of the bed.
Connie, while searching online for information on this machine, I've come across yours. I purchased the exact same one, cabinet and all at an estate sale. Would you be able maybe via email to help me thread it?
