Wondering identity of piece and what these symbols mean?

I am looking into purchasing this item, but i am wondering what the symbols from the picture I posted mean. I have heard of Crown Birmingham Silver Company, but the last stamped symbol appears to be an X and not a C. If anyone can assist in identifying it I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
