From what you ladies have taught me, early 1900s. I’m going to go out on a limb and say Victorian, based on motif, pin clasp construction… *nod to Eileen*… And the fact it has bezels adhering it to the plate.

I’m definitely more of a general person as you can see. That’s not too bad. But it’s learning about mine that makes me passionate to learn about all of it!

Dang!!!! And I thought that square clasp, which I have not seen before, made it earlier. I was so enthralled with that I didn’t pay much attention to the pin clasp! I swear if it’s shiny, I’m not going to see much else! So, the brooch itself is probably man-made and not hand painted, right? It’s OK if it isn’t… The 20s and 30s are my era! I’m still convinced I’m reincarnated from an ex-pat 1925 Paris, where I sat in Salon with Gertrude Stein and spent summers with Gerald and Sara Murphy at “Villa America “ in the unfashionable (at the time!) Cap d’Antibes. Oh, sigh. Thank you, Eileen! Off to really look at the clasp before losing myself halfway through studying the piece… But is there any question as to why I tend toward losing my place during my study of an old beauty? Da*n the torpedoes-full speed ahead-daydream commence! Hahahaha
