This bitters bottle was dug in a late 1860's early 1870's dump in downtown Savannah. I found this dump in late July when the baking sizzling hot sun is at it's hottest. You could only dig this dump late in the evening and through the night. The dump was located under an old asphalt parking lot right out in the open. With no shade in sight at all, it was so hot "One Hundred Degrees" and humid in the day you would get a sun stroke trying to dig it. Digging it at night was not to much better. Massive thunder storms, bolts of lighting, torrential rain and hoards of blood thirsty mosquitos. I stayed with it for weeks and dug many really nice bottles.
