Help! Scored this amazing sofa and I've been coming up short in all my research trying to identify it. Unusual or uncommon shape - slightly angled from middle, modest but sharp angle, not curved. Beautiful wood framed, wood trim backside. I'm assuming the fabric is more modern reupholstered based on plastic zippers. Overall only a few small wear tears in fabric and scratches to wood - but actual fabric and integrity of cushions is incredible. Cushions are of synthetic material, but down feathers keep appearing (?) My mom thinks perhaps just the zippers and or cushion inserts were replaced, not the entire upholstery/fabric. Yellow tag under cushions "Victors Upholstery shop Amityville NY" which also leads me to believe it is reupholstered in some way. And new/modern phillips head screws are inserted beside original flat head old screws, presumably for reinforcement as it is very solid. No other markings anywhere, underlining is fully intact so cant see springs or anything else.
Thoughts? Guesses? Thanks!
Try Edward Wormley for Dunbar.
Yes - it has been totally recovered, but by reading that language - the original upholstery is under the new upholstery.
Victor's is still there., And you have the name of the old owner. Call them. Maybe they have a record and can tell you.
