The Lawrence Warehouse Company began in 1912. They seem to start fading out of existence in 1950s after some legal issues and disappear around 1970. They were based in San Francisco.
The sign is about 19" x 9". Not the most exciting sign as it isn't gas/oil, soft drinks or tobacco but I think it is a good looking sign. The sign is embossed with raised lettering and there is a bit of artistic text along with black boarders.
One thing about signs is that there are a lot of reproductions. Don't think anyone would reproduce that. I have a few in mind to buy that I am still researching.
In the last two photos there are some of my others in my low budget sign display.
Well, I happen to think it is even *more* cool, because it *isn't* gas/oil, soft drinks, or tobacco...? Those are all quite common -- this one ain't...? ;-) ;-) :-) :-) :-)
Thank you very much AO. I think you could be making a valid point.
Thank you very much Ms.CrystalShip. Partial to the Pegasus too.
You are quite welcome, fortapache! Rest assured that, if you ever get tired of that sign in your collection, I'll more than *happily* give it a new home!!
<lolol> :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
No problem AO. Haven't gotten bored with it yet.
