My New Hertwig Flapper Doll

Seated upon her rattan-veneered Nantucket lounge chair, my behatted Hertwig flapper doll poses before a photograph of one of my maternal great-uncles and his cloche-wearing wife. The immarcescible style of the 1920s is limned in my faded print, preserved by an era-appropriate photo frame bedighted with embossed floral topiary trees and scrolling wreaths, and broad-armed amphoras.
