I purchased this doll head at an auction recently. I'm trying to figure out if it is an original. It has the year 1912 carved at the back edge of the top of the head. It barely visible in the photo. Any information would be appreciated.
Hi sorry I missed this post just saw it :-) Your doll is antique German bisque doll by Cuno & Otto Dressel . She is called a socket head doll and requires a composition body that is articulated .
You can read about company here and welcome to CW https://www.dollreference.com/dressel_cuno_otto_dolls.html
She has such beautiful features!!!
She is referred to as Cuno & Otto Dressel mold 1912 . I wanted to clarify that and that the number is not year she was made .
This is solved
