Special thanks to RichmondLori for tonight's post. It combines two of my favorites things Boy Scout collectibles and First Aid Kits. This one is complete which is fairly rare.
The booklet that comes with it has a copyright of 1932 which most likely makes it from the 1930s although it could have continued into the 1940s. I think the Boy Scouts switched to Johnson and Johnson in the 1940s.
I have taken out the contents for everyone's viewing enjoyment although I missed the Vivo tubes. But they look just like the Mercurochrome Swab in the brown cardboard tube. There are two glass tubes of each. The burn ointment and the soap solvent are the items that seem to have been used in this kit.
The kit is 5 1/2" x 3 1/2 x 1 1/2" and was carried on a belt pouch. Although I imagine it could be bulky so it probably ended up in a backpack. Boy Scouts did like their accessories and this one would have been quite popular.
Thanks again RichmondLori.
Very cool! The fact that it's still complete after all of these years is just amazing. Nice find!!!
Your Welcome, happy to see it is home. :)
