So when I picked these up at the swap meet a few weeks ago, I thought they were the typical Japanese Hummels, but when I got home and took a closer look, not so much. Well made, well molded, well glazed, well painted. No Made in Japan marks, no marks at all. And the clay doesn't look Japanese or American. The paint and clay on the boy base looks like a Wedgewood blue sort of finish. European? 3 1/2". Thanks for looking!
Adorable figurines, they are very well made and look hand painted
Well hello there!
I have no idea about these, apart from cute.
:)))
Thanks for the love, racer4four, Newfld, fortapache, Brunswick, jscott0363, vetraio50, FreshAir, and aura!
Thanks Newfld, they are well made, and have an almost glassy, or wet, finish, I've seen it before, I think the Lladro figurines?
Thanks RFF, it's always frustrating when you find something outside of your area of expertise, isn't it? They are cute!
