    Not sure found in old house we bought.
    , believe it’s early 1900’s wooden wall telephone. Can’t find a picture of I e anywhere that looks exactly like it. Anyone have any ideas about it?

      The poor thing looks like its had a rough life, but also like most of it is still there except for its generator...those are commonly missing as they can be funtoys for other purposes by themselves, but even those can still be found?! Looks like it'll be a great project to rescue, if that's your plan?! :-) Is there legible info on the remains of its paper label to give you more clues about it?

      You have a Western Electric magneto wall set type 1317. Manufactured around 1907. parts can be found at PHONECO old telephones on line.

      Thanks for the pictures. I'm restoring that exact model, and it's helpful to see the wiring inside the door connecting to the hinges. Wires were ripped out of mine. It's a Western Electric 317, but from what I've read I'd guess 1909-1910. The year before, it had electrical connections on top, outside the case. The year after, they used flexible wires instead of wiring to the hinges, and dropped the "picture frame" on the front. You might find "TYPE 317 AH" or something similar stamped into the wood on the back or on the frame. The paper in the door would say "P-104073" in the upper left corner.
