Howitzer Hammer: I was told that this is a collectible hammer and particularly rare because of its condition. The face is not marred at all and actually looks unused. I have only found a few other examples on the internet, none of which come close to the near perfect condition of this one. The hammer head a has three magnet nail slots/holders on top, HOWITZER on one side, and PAT-PEND on the other. If anyone knows of the history or any info on this hammer please pass it on.

I remember seeing these when I was bending nails...the ads all over the T V...none of the guys I worked with bought one...lol I guess if you have only one hand it would be a cool thing..maybe..most were saying they wouldn't hold up when breaking down cement forms ..in the winter ...broke many of hammers from the cold ..and we drank a lot of brandy to keep warm ..smiling
