With a plastic grocery bag, that is. And the street is actually a four lane divided thoroughfare -- most people usually seen walking back and forth there with a bag are picking up aluminum cans, but I left those all laying where they were . . . ;-)
INSTEAD, I was collecting road reflectors. ;-) As it happens, this road was repaved late last year. For whatever reasons (a couple of likely possibilities) the new little plastic lane divider reflectors (STIMSONITE is a brand name of most) installed on the spiffy smooth new roadway *didn't* hardly stick to it at all, most having come loose then getting bounced to the shoulders instead, with or without enduring physical damage. In the recent couple months I'd noticed at least half a dozen laying randomly along just the center edges of one stretch of roadway -- that's where I went for my stroll today, up one side and back down the other.
Pic 1 is the total haul -- pic 2 is a closer view of some of them, front and back -- pics 3 & 4 are where I then put most of the (mostly) intact ones, alongside my driveway atop the bricks, in daylight and after dark.
I kinda think I enjoy the new look...?? ;-) :-) :-)
That was a great find and a great re-use for them!
