Hello
I am trying to find out some information about this inkwell. It says Novelty P.N. Mfg Co on one side and the patent date of Nov 11, 1884. I have searched high and low and just cant find anything about it.

Try looking for the 'Patent Novelty Manufacturing Company' or possibly the 'Philadelphia Novelty Manufacturing Company'
if you drop off the word Novelty and just search for the P. N. Mfg. Co you come up with a few hits, mostly its taking about a company that invented staples for single staple fasteners in 1866, but thats a desk item in itself and certainly a paper item so its not a big leap to assume they'd have their hands on some inkwells too
