Carnival Ride Daffodil

I purchase this from an antique store last December. I was told it was from some type of carnival rode circa 40's??

I have tried to get more information and have had no luck. Any information you might be able to provide would be wonderful.

I love it, my family has a long connection with daffodils and I just had to have it.

The item comes apart in the middle of the stem, it looks like it use to have a cotter pin holding it together. There is a metal rode those goes down into the petal base. It is set into the "flower pot" with concrete. Not sure of the material it is made of
