Can you tell me anything about this blanket? :)

Hi. I purchased this blanket at a yard sale and want to learn more about it. How old is it? What is it made of? It looks like it may be hand-woven and maybe hand-spun. It was made by 4 inch wide 93 inch long strips that were hand-stitched together to form a geometric pattern. It is in perfect condition except for some brown staining. Should I hand wash it? So, kind experts, what do you know? :) Thank you!!
