Here is a 3 1-2"H x 4"W Burmese satin (blush pink over opaque yellow custard) glass puppy with hand painted face & floral design, signed by the artist M. Fleming for Fenton Glass from the mid-1980s, item #5225

Adorable puppy! Is she some sort of little beagle pup? I'm reminded of a beagle when I look at her little square ears and face! She's a lovely colour too, so sugary pink and playful looking. It's that pose she has taken on, when someone throws a ball, she brings it back and now she's waiting for them to throw it again! :)
This beautiful & delicate darling puppy would be perfect for me,... err... I mean my young granddaughter!

Thank you BHIFOS for the lovely compliment, the pink is really pretty and strong here, you can truly only tell it's Burmese from the uneven colored back. Fenton had a funny way of naming their opal glass, white was opal, lt. yellow custard, and lt. pink cameo, except for their Burmese pieces with the brighter pink

Lauren thanks so much for your fabulous words about this pink puppy, she is certainly an endearing one! Beagle is an excellent possibility for this dog's inspiration, that was my childhood dog and she's definitely got the shape. Doesn't she look so eager and expectant, Fenton gave many of their animals lifelike looks and poses which made them very popular
