The Fritz Heckert glass factory and refinery is primarily known for its enamel-decorated glass. Only since 2012 has it been proven that in the Art Nouveau period, under the direction of Otto Thamm, it also produced hot finished glass, and that in large quantities. »Changeant« and »Marmopal« belong to the idendified decorations, »Victoria«, »Moiré« and others are listed in the pattern book, but a clear assignment to known decors has not yet been achieved.
About four years ago I could identify glasses from the Thamm series with an opaque red inner layer (https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/230873-new-heckert-decor-of-hot-finished-art-no). Four shapes (Th 128, Th 133, Th 134 and Th 138) are documented by corresponding glasses. Recently, a glass of the Thamm-shape 128 appeared in an auction, which is similar in decoration to the opaque-red glasses, but the inner layer is colored opaque-green . This is the only glass with this decor variant known to me. It can be assumed that the green coloration met with less customer interest than the red one. In direct comparison, the blue shimmering iridescence on the red base contrasts much more nicely than on the green one (Fig. 4).

My conclusion: Fritz Heckert still has some unknown decor variations hidden away.
