When 'normal people' go on a vacation break to the Blue Ridge/Smoky Mountains of eastern Tennessee (U.S.A.), they go to 'normal people' tourist and gift shops, for all manner of 'normal' things. OH WELL, that's them and I's ME instead, who looked for and found a just-slightly-off the beaten track place alongside a highway...all kinds of absolutely wonderful hand-carved cedarwood custom doorframe pieces, a bit of 'chainsaw art' and such being most of their trade, but the girlfriend of the wood artist also had a little store inside with some nifty pottery bits and whatnot. On the way out I noticed a little frame leaning behind something else with a few sparkly necklaces on it...$3/pc., I bought several... <lol>
This one probably my fav. Looks like it was probably an old piece that got lengthened with the extra bit of chains/clasp added on -- all the *rest* of it remains a lovely string of clearish/pinkish/irridescent faceted glass beads on maybe silver wire, accented with small red beads near its tassel-pendant of more silver bits and beads. Sorry if I'm describing all of that in the wrong terms... ;-) :-)
Pic 4 is just yours truly, enjoying the splendid afternoon right before I found the necklace place... :-) :-) :-)
Gorgeous colours here, and the wonderful tassel has those beautiful deep red beads and at the ends the pink ones to offset the piece. Great buy !~
