It says West Point. The same style was used for many many years. Is there a name etched on the blade?

It appears to be a Model 1922 most likely a private purchase sword.

It is a US Military Academy (West Point) cadet sword.

They are carried by cadet officers for ceremonial use (parade, inspections...)

The orientation of the crest makes it post 1923.

H& H was established in 1926, so we can skip a few more years forward.

While it may have been privately purchased-- these were only retailed through the Cadet Store, so it went through a cadet, graduate or faculty member first.

A search of H & H may yield more precise dating.

      scott
