Vintage wood totem carving English Knights with dragon ??

I have NO idea what this is. It seems old and roughly, folksy done. It appears to be a totem of some sort, representing a knight holding a sword hilt, and a crude dragon carved into the pole, along with other faces and heavily mustachioed characters. Could it represent St George, when he slew the dragon, representing the end of pantheism and the beginning of God worship? If anybody even has a guess, i would appreciate it. Thanks.
