A neighbor just gave me this old 18" long tin tugboat with the name Jupiter on it. There's no identifiable marks I can see yet. Anyone know anything about this old tugboat?

Lol! I agree! This "sinking" tugboat is not put together well. So if you noticed that about this tugboat then I believe you just might know something about it in comparison? Lol
Are you saying it look like they sailed from Jupiter ?
Lol! I compared it to the only one like it i could find online and almost everything on mine was off centered. I wonder if this was an actual toy model people put together themselves at home or store bought already complete?
I can't see how the parts fit together. I had a similar size ship that was kind of like an erector kit that you had to put together and put the decals on. I got it as a Christmas gift around 1958. As I recall they were sold by Montgomery & Wards through their mail order catalog. To many years ago to be sure but that is my 2 cents worth.
