Hi there! I'm new around here and found this site in a bit of research for these two lamps. I picked them up at an estate sale but don't know much about them. They're gorgeous, huge, and heavy! Oddly they're scented too, but I'm not sure if that's from the previous owner or if the lamps were originally designed this way. One is stamped with 'GIM 434F' and the other is stamped with 'GIM 537'. Does anyone recognize these or have any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Wonderful, GIM made some of the best lamps of the time. During their age of 1967 to the 1980's they made highly modeled mouldings of some of their lamps with great detail. I am not sure where they came from, and few are signed other than GIM and the date. Some of the best modelled lamps are from that period esp of the early 1970's. These lamps I have seen before, I imagine they are of the late 1960's. Not sure if made in Italy or California. Beautiful.

Thanks so much for the info, Phil! I agree, they're beautiful and I absolutely ADORE them.

Also not sure why they uploaded sideways, but haha whatever. :)

I do not have the sideways problem because I use a desk computer. Also I think that pics using a cell phone can promote sideways. On the rules section they do recommend that you upload photos to a desk computer to fix photos first before posting on CW. I love these lamps so I am glad when people post them.
