Much of their import glass was from Japan, especially perfume bottles.

I have one the same shape but in clear glass, they are well made with a polished base. Nice to know were it is from. :)

Very funny and quirky looking little owl! At first I thought it was a cat, I see now she's actually an owl with a beautiful rosy pink, (such a lovely soft hue!) and her little ears are actually ear tufts! XD Lovely shade of pink too btw.

Highly noticeable as an owl, would be a terrifying cat but adorable as an owl, who is a creature who appears to know the secrets of the universe, gorgeous piece !~

Thanks Kevin for your super comment and the info, I did know that about Irice but wonder if as an importer they only dealt with Japan. They did make gorgeous perfume atomizers

Thank you BHIFOS for your great comment and congrats on owning one of these owls, they are really cute with the big eyes! Many times you see these owls advertised as Murano and indeed the offbeat design does have that look, I can only wonder if Irice possibly got them from Italy, although wherever they're from it's a fun owl design & also came in other pale colors like blue and green

Lauren I can definitely see how the ears would look cat-like in the thumbnail, they are quite perky! I also really like the light pink glass & unusual design, the round circular eyes are so expressive and "owly". Thank you so much for your wonderful praise

Thanks so much Phil for your fab comment and I totally concur that owls seem to be all seeing & all knowing, keepers of secrets and knowledge! This one with the staring eyes is quite the attention getter, and if a cat yes it would be super scary lol

Scott I'm so happy that you found this owl a cutie, thank you so much for the awesome praise

Sorry for the late reply, Jenni. I have seen Irice perfume bottles from W. Germany and even some Czech ones. When I look for them, I limit myself to the ones made in Japan...

So glad you found this pink owl cute vintagelamp, thank you for your lovely comment

Kevin I appreciate learning more about Irice & the other countries they imported glass from, this owl's label is partly missing though it does look like theirs that say made in Japan
