Hi! This is my first post and I was hoping someone might be able to help me with these beauties. I've had this set of glasses for about 20 years but have never been able to find anything close to them. I'd love to know the age, what they're called or what they were used for and maybe where they originated from, if you might know. I'm not sure if they would be considered cut or engraved, but the glass is thin- if that helps at all.
Thank you so much for looking!

Please would you give the dimensions? How many do you have? Welcome to CW!

I can say they are etched and monogrammed. But I'm no expert, so I don't know whether etched by hand or machine. I wonder if TallCakes, CW's esteemed glass expert, will stop by to help?

      (Can't read the letters either.)

can't always tell from photos but they appear to be gray cut/engraved or wheel cut fern. you might check with "R" as they can often help with an ID.

Thank you Gillian and Tallcakes! I really appreciate y'all's help!
They measure 3.6" H and 2.6" across (I'll measure diameter tomorrow) and I have 5 of them. Really wish I could have posted more photos. They are in beautiful condition, minus the dust that the pictures show really well lol
Can anyone tell me if I'm on the right track, as far as terminology goes? Are the parts around the lower edge called "petal cuts"? And is the handle called a finger loop? I still have MUCH to learn here and look forward to doing so. Thank you again :-)

They're called ring handles, I don't know about 'petal cuts'.

those base cuts are sometimes called flutes
