This metal coin bank from the 1940s was designed to be used to save up for insurance premium payments. It was patented in 1942 by the Steel Products Corp. of San Francisco. It still works and would probably hold about $20 worth of nickels, dimes and quarters. Looks to be about 4 inches across and an inch and a half thick.
I have that same one but it is missing the key. Great iteam
